Use as a spreader for the outer conductors
when changing insulators or cross arms. The lineman
raises the center conductor with a block line, then
installs the spreader arm on the Series 112 gin pole
and raises the spreader arm into place (approximately
2 feet [61.0 cm] from the top) with an alligator stick
(Cat. No. 408FGQ). A switch stick (Cat. No. 1408FGQ)
is used for tightening.
Note: This tool is not designed
to support the conductor. Conductors are supported
with the block line used to raise them into place, and
tied with a rope snubbing bracket (Cat. No. 8200) at
the base of the pole. A pigtail stick (Cat. No. 5FGQ/U
or 501FGQ/U) is used to guide conductors into the hooks.
